Guh Song Chinese: Reviews & Ratings
A great spot for a succulent meal! The fried gyoza was a great starter. They were bigger than I expected. The filling was flavorful and each bite was crispy. The black bean noodles were delicious and the fried pork with sweet and sour sauce was absolutely amazing. Would recommend!
Went there during covid. Their portion is very big, and the service is quick. I had to black bean sauce noodle with spicy seafood noodle combo. In addition I had the deep fried pork. I heard that this is a common meal combination in Korea with beer. Taste and portion was excellent everything was around $35. Highly recommend if you're trying to get this particular type of Korean food.
My dad got the jjamppong and the rest of us got lunch specials - jjajangmyun with choice of meat. My fav is the kkanpoonggi which is "spicy" chicken. It was not spicy. still good. My older got tangsuyuk which is the non-spicy and it's pork. Everything was good been coming here since hs... over 20 years already now i feel old. Have cash just in case. The credit card machine had a problem at the time. Maybe first time it happened for us there. So it's not a usual problem. Noticed a table ordered the meat dish ahead of time by phone before arriving to be able to eat it right away smart if u know what u want before coming
Food was pretty good. Friendly staff. Restaurant was clean. Lunch set was only $13.99 or $14.99. Very good deal.
The decor of a restaurant says a lot. Sometimes it says, you are about to break your bank and hunt down a pizzeria after and sometimes it says you are about to have a good homemade style meal and walk out with belly full. Seafood noodle soup (Jjamppong) was the best. Tang soo yook was okay. Service was as good as it gets at these types of establishments. Will return to try other items!
I really enjoyed this spot for traditional Korean jjajangmyeon. The noodles came out hot and fresh, with that rich, savoury black bean sauce that tastes just like the classic comfort food it should be. The portion was generous, and it felt hearty and satisfying. The restaurant itself has a simple, no-frills atmosphere, which makes it feel even more authentic. The service was friendly and quick. Definitely a place I’d come back to whenever I’m craving proper Korean comfort food.
Clean and spacious interior. Parking is very difficult - street meter parking and if you off bell blvd it’s residential parking - however there’s very limited spots. Service is always friendly and nice. Moderate wait time for food. Their tap water is good so you don’t have to bring your own or order a drink. Met up with a few friends for dinner on a weeknight, and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. This was a decent Jjajang Myun spot and I would come back again. I liked the Gan Jjajang over the regular one because the sauce had a nice smokey wok tossed flavor. We also tried the Chapsal Tangsuyuk, and that was very crispy and well cooked. Overall, it was a solid choice if you're in the area.
